Faye in win95 start up and shut down ------------------------------------ Are you bored of seeing the same windows 95 start up and shut down screen? That's no problem!!! As a fan of Faye, you can download Faye's start up and shut down screens and enjoy! However, you got to read this??? Here are the steps to set these pictures in start up and shut down (no installatins): ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ** First, you are recommanded to made copy of your original windows95 files, in case you want to switch back to the original win 95 start up and shut down screen. These two win95 original files are called logos.sys and logow.sys, they're in the windows directory of your hard drive. You have 3 different choices for your start up, wait for shut down and shut down. ** Those downloaded files are zipped. So you have to unzip it first! You can use pkunzip.exe or Winzip to unzip this file! ** After you unzip all these files, you have to rename them. When you unzip logo1.zip, you get a file called logo1.sys, rename logo1.sys to logo.sys (to rename, click on "start" in Win95, go to "programs", "Windows Explorer", find your file there, and right click with your mouse, choose "rename"). ** And also rename logow1.sys to logow.sys and logos1.zip to logos.sys. ** Copy logo.sys into to your hard drive's root directory (c:\) (This is the one you see when win 95 is starting up). ** Copy logow.sys into windows directory (c:\windows) (This is the one which says "Please wait while windows shuts down"). ** Copy logos.sys into windows directory (c:\windows) (This is the one which says "It's now safe to turn off your computer). ** And now you're all done, restart windows and you'll see these three pictures in start up and shut down of win95! Note: There's no original win 95 start up files (logo.sys). If you want the original win 95 start up screen back, just delete the logo.sys in c:\, and if you also want your original win 95 shut-down screen back, just copy the files that you've backed up (logos.sys & logow.sys to c:\windows). Okay, Good Luck!
